COVID-19 Lab Result Alerts

Receive COVID-19 Lab Results in Real-Time with CHIE Alerts

UHIN sends notifications of COVID-19 lab result alerts directly from hospitals to healthcare providers, ACOs and care managers in and around the state of Utah.

Results and visit information directly from hospital labs

Utah hospitals and labs send notifications of COVID-19 lab orders and diagnoses directly to UHIN. Other healthcare organizations who subscribe to patients who are tested are then notified of that patient’s result.

This real-time information is vital for care teams to coordinate interventions for their patients more effectively, especially those in greater need of physician oversight. Proactively reaching out to infected patients can help stem further spread of the virus.

About Lab Result Alerts

Care teams are able to view all SARS-CoV-2 test orders and results.

Care teams and physicians will be notified when one of their patients has been tested for SARS-CoV-2 and the result of those tests to ensure the patient is being cared for in the appropriate setting. Lab Result Alerts are also vital for an office’s infectious disease protocols.

Real Time

Alerts subscribers are notified of test results as soon as they are available.

Is there a cost for this?

Free for current CHIE Members: Lab Result Alerts are covered under CHIE membership costs. If your organization is already a CHIE member there will be no additional cost. Contact customerservice@uhin.org to turn on Lab Result Alerts.
